Fall Bucket List: Drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ok, we may or may not have counted down the days until it was socially acceptable to drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Now that it is officially October, we are sippin’ our PSLs and enjoying the taste of Fall in a cup.
Make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte
Grabbing coffee while you are out can get expensive (plus, that money can get you more fun Fall items on mudpie.com instead!) We want to share our FAV PSL recipe with you that will cut the calories and the cost! We found the recipe Amy’s Healthy Baking put together this season and our mouths are watering simply getting ready to type it out for you.
1 cup nonfat milk
1 tbsp pumpkin puree
4 drops vanila creme stevia, or adjustesd to taste
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
tiny pinch ground nutmeg
tiny pinch ground ginger
3/4 cup extra strong coffee (or two shots of espresso, because it’s just one of those days)
- Add the milk and pumpkin to a small pot. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a whisk, until the mixture begins to simmer. Add in the stevia, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Whisk the mixture until it becomes frothy.
2. Add the coffee to a large mug, and pour the milk mixture on top
Naturally we were #FallingForMP when we realized Mud Pie had the PERFECT mug to hold our delicious drink. There is just something about Fall that puts us in a good mood. We aren’t sure if it’s the PSL, the leaves changing or being able to wear the coziest sweater ever (pssst: the Tobi Turtleneck Poncho comes in THREE different colors!) but we are #FallingForMP and falling in love with Fall.
