The hot summer days are slowly turning to fall. The nights are cooling off, and fall layers are creeping into the minds of fashionistas. While fall brings perfect outdoor weather, and weekends full of activity, we still have yet to send off summer. Some are ready for the seasons change, while others are still holding on to the last drop of sunshine and summertime.
For now, we stand in a transitional period where summer pieces are being mixed with fall knits. We’re still looking forward to a Labor Day beach weekend, while also thinking of outfits for the fall football season.
The perfect piece is one that can swing from season to season with you. One that can be dressed up, accessorized, and layered with other staple pieces. A piece just like the Mud Pie Dakota Fringe Cover-up. A beautiful piece with lots of personality. And let’s be honest – the tassel trend isn’t going anywhere, but it is certainly changing with the seasons.
We asked four girls in the office to style our Dakota Fringe Cover-Up. There were no other guidelines and the results were just what we wanted. One item worn for the end of summer and beginning of fall.
1. Resort: A late summer outfit for those final vacation days. But who says you can’t style the Dakota Fringe Cover-Up this way at dinner during your winter beach getaway? Katie looks like she belongs in a resort with a cocktail in hand. She pairs the White Dakota Fringe Cover-Up with a Chloe bag, chic sunglasses, a fedora and booties to die for. Talk about effortlessly cool style!
2. Date Night: Who says a cover-up is only an item for a bathing suit? Black and navy are together at last as a perfect duo this fall. Jordan transforms the Navy Dakota Fringe Cover-Up into a dress fit for date night on the town. Throw on chunky jewelry, booties and a suede moto jacket to spice up the look.
3. Poolside: The weather may be cooling off, but the pool will be open for a couple months to come. Let us just say, Katy is as adorable in person as she is in this photo. Go for a classic poolside look in the Dakota Fringe Cover-Up by pairing it with flat sandals and the Mud Pie Madison Gingham Fedora.
4. Brunch/Shopping: For those casual weekend days, who knew that the Dakota Fringe Cover-Up could be transformed for fall by pairing it with your favorite ripped jeans? McCay proves that this piece is not just for summer days. Add a tassel necklace, bucket bag, and open-toed booties for a day spent with mimosas and girlfriends.
Cheers to summer to fall fashion!
