Winter Vacation Packing List

December 17, 2014

This holiday season my family and I are mixing things up and taking a true winter vacation to Switzerland. Here is my winter vacation packing list for must haves when packing for a cold weather vacation. Happy Holidays!

  1. Winter White Dress– I am in love with winter white. This dress has a great boxy shape that is perfect for evening without feeling too cheesy or over the top. Pair it with black booties and your New Year’s Eve outfit is done.
  2. Boots– I recently purchased these and now they are a STEAL. I love the criss cross straps and gold hardware. The chunky heel on these is great for staying comfortable while sight seeing and they will hopefully keep my feet relatively warm
  3. Moisturizer– Recommended by my best friend, beauty product extraordinaire, this product is awesome for hydrating dry skin in cold weather climates
  4. Monogramed Weekender– Whenever I go on vacation, I buy things. I like to pack a collapsible bag in my suitcase so that I can fill it up with goodies purchased on my trip. This one is extra perfect because it is super roomie and features a monogram for a great personalized touch.
  5. Hat– I am not a hat girl. But there is something about this one that feels super necessary for my winter trip. I like that it’s felt so it’s collapsible in my luggage and for some reason I feel like it will keep me warm. Even if it doesn’t, it will be so cute with my winter wardrobe so it’s pretty much a must have.
  6. Coat– I have been coveting this coat since it came out in late summer and now it has been marked down so much that it is almost affordable. I love it for vacation because it can be worn as a coat or with my outfit. It’s also fairly lightweight so it’s great for packing.
  7. Fur Scarf– Fur is always in for winter. This scarf is a gorgeous rich grey color that will spice up any basic sweater. I like that it can dress up an outfit while also keeping me warm. This one also happens to be an incredible price.
  8. Leggings– These leggings are an awesome staple because they feature a subtle pattern that adds just the right amount of style to any basic winter piece (they also come in ADORABLE packaging and make great late holiday gifts)
  9. Plaid scarf– This season I am all about plaid. Zara has a number of oversized scarves for incredible prices and this plaid makes any outfit look stylish and put together for my vacation look.
  10. Fringed Gloves– Gloves will be a necessity for Switzerland in December. I love that the long fringed edge on these  will hang out of any coat for a little added “flare”
  11. Windowpane sweater– Windowpane is a great staple for any wardrobe and so on trend this season. Pair this sweater with leggings and a great pair of boots for an easy winter look
